Excelsior at the Manor House

Our room was wonderful! Very clean, cozy and well decorated! The hosts were very attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed as we also used the Events room. We had a virtual training, and they had all the technical things we needed to be focused on the training.

We were trying to find a new getaway after our move to NC, but unfortunately, I can say we will not be back. The website stated a lot of falsehoods, but that wasn't the only problem. Besides the odd, far-away, non-handicapped parking, there is VERY little for someone who is handicapped or needs assistance. The rooms on the second floor have no elevator, have a step into the bathroom, have no access for a walker or wheelchair, and no grab bars. As far as the room, the accommodations weren't terrible as there was a fridge and Keurig, but the TV was tiny, there was no way to block the xmas lights through the windows, and there is nobody on site to handle people being loud. Advertise as a manor house with a restaurant bar and pool, when I arrived, it was a rundown place in the middle of a dark park with not so much as a person to check you in. There was not even another person there. It was scary. I called both the hotel and hotels.com to tell them I did not feel safe there. Neither of them helped me at all. And they refuse to reverse the charge. I will never stay here again. And I will never use hotels.com again.

Jordan and Excelsior at the Manor House made our stay very pleasant, as they were informative and helpful throughout the process. The cottages are a great rustic getaway in the quiet of Tanglewood.

I have been staying at this Manor House for almost 10 years. It is a beautiful place and a perfect home base when enjoying the Tanglewood Festival of Lights, however, over the year I have seen a steady decline in the service offered. Earlier this month my family and I visited again and I hate to say this will be our last visit unless new management takes over. There was absolutely zero staff on site the entire 3 days we were there. You're emailed a code to get into the doors and that is it. Previously, a lovely breakfast was included. Now, nothing. I even had to call to request more coffee be sent to the room because if I had not there would have been two pods for the whole weekend. Also, the sitting rooms which we had always enjoyed are now set up in a way that clearly states they
