Customer Reviews
What a surprising treat. The Campground is clean and has all hook ups one needs. You do need to be self contained, however the Enchanted Castle Hotel has restrooms available. You pay for the campsite at the gift shop or hotel. Gray, the owner and artist of all the enchanted highway sculptures, is charming and so welcoming. Gary shared that in August it is harvest season so campground gets filled, however you are more than welcome to camp on the grass, just stop by the gift shop or hotel. He is a gracious host. We had a great visit in Regent and a the enchanted highway did not disappoint. I highly recommend making the effort for the full enchanted highway Regent ND experience
We tent camped on the grass at the Enchanted Campground. We are two girls, and it felt safe. It is mostly for RVs, but Gary said we could pitch a tent. There are public restrooms on the corner of Second and Main that were open all night. We used that to brush our teeth and fancy up for the day. The next morning we went down to the Enchanted Castle to pay our camping fees and we met Gary, the owner of the castle. He is really cool if you get a chance to meet him. He’s the builder and creator of the Enchanted Highway and he built all the sculptures. He’s in the Guinness book of world records so he is a local celebrity. We highly suggest a night in Regent, North Dakota to support this local community and Gary’s vision of bringing some fun and creativity to the world. Breakfast sandwiches were
Very disappointing. We loved the sculptures on the Enchanted Highway. Got into Regent early afternoon to discover all 10 campsites taken by permanent/semi-permanent campers. I guess they are no longer interested in having tourists in this little town. Since we had to then drive another 2 hours to a campground, we did not visit the gift shop or the restaurant.
Nice quiet campground. Neighbors were friendly. Accommodations were just what we needed. Price was very affordable. There is no office or check-in, so you just go to the Enchanted Gift Shop or the Enchanted Hotel to pay.
This is a very convenient, no frills, priced-right place to camp, whether it’s just an overnight stay on your way to your destination or an extended stay. It’s easy access and very level for our 30’ 5th wheel.
