Enchanted Castle Hotel

This place is amazing and gary is a one of a kind creator, he built all the enchanted highway metal art. Each one took him 8 to 10 years. And at the end is the castle, it is an old school remade into a castle. To say it is amazing is selling it short. The beds were comfy the sheets were soft the rooms are spacious with a kitchen in each one. The bar and dinner area are separate so they can accommodate any type of event, plus a basketball court for the kids to play while the parents are able to do there own thing. The thing is, he doesn't make any money on the enchanted highway, even though thousands of people enjoy it each year, it brings in no revenue. So stop in, have a drink, get a room, or a great steak, to support a man that has put a lifetime of work into making this small communit

We took the drive down the Enchanted Highway to see the very large sculptures along the highway and into the very small town of Regent, ND. We decided to stay over night here which turned out to be quite a treat. The owner put us in room 107. This room has a full kitchen as well as a wonderful bed. Since there is not much in Regent, (POP. 107) we ate at the in house restaurant and shared a wonderful meal. We sat with another couple and shared stories of them and ourselves. The owner, Gary Greff was also the waiter. It turns out that he also did the sculptures along the highway and would likely to do more. He was able to buy this school and convert it to a medieval motel. Quite a storyteller if you take the time.

Old school transformed. Went here for a family birthday party for the weekend. Gary was great - very accommodating and made sure we were taken care of. We were able to use the gym for the party activities and had plenty of rooms for the guests. The bartender was also very nice. He gave good recommendations for drinks and made them well. We ate at the steakhouse and enjoyed our meal. Would recommend for any large party or family gathering.

I wish I had gotten the names of the two gentlemen who were working tonight! They were more than generous, kind, and caring. We are a large group of students, and they handled us with grace and open arms. If the building itself isn’t enchanting, the service and staff certainly are. The rooms are charming, clean, stocked. The gym and hot tub rooms were very nice and well-kept. And the restaurant and food are great! I’m excited for the rest of our stay! And thank you again to the staff—your kindness is a rare find in the world we live in today.

We traveled to Regent, ND specifically to visit the Enchanted Highway and spend the night at the Enchanted Castle. Tried to call a week in advance and make a reservation, but no one answered the phone on several attempts. But we figured there would probably be rooms available when we got there since Regent is such a small town, so we weren't too worried. The highway was fantastic, we really enjoyed the art pieces! But by the end, we were tired after a long day of driving and ready to settle in for the night. Got to the hotel, no one was there. We drove around and came back several times, never saw a soul. Tried calling both numbers at the front desk, no answer. We were looking forward to a relaxing getaway and wanted to support this hotel because it looked really cool and obviously so much
