Emerald Shores Hotel

After check in, and inspecting the room, I found a syringe on the balcony. I reported this to the front desk, along with a photo. They didn't seem to care (offering no apologies,) but moved me to another room, which turns out had a broken card key reader. I complained and was sent back with maintenance. It still didn't work and they gave me a regular metal key. I refused to accept this and they would not move me to a room with a working door. This hotel is disgusting. In all my travels I have never seen a syringe in a room. A major bio hazard and disturbing to say the least. This place should never be able to operate in this capacity. The worst part is the sheer lack of concern or empathy from management at the hotel. Stay away from this place, it is so gross.

Location right at the beach was great! The pool area with hearing the waves from the Atlantic in the background als super nice. The room are okay. What makes me just giving 3 stars is that I hate getting a blanket without a cover. It also was a little bit juicy on the floor but for the price of 80$ a day I couldn’t complain.

I had high hopes for this place, given it was $150 a night. The older white gentleman at the front desk was great. However, the other woman that was there at the desk with him upon our arrival wasn’t very nice. Hospitality didn’t seem to be something she cared much about. The view was amazing. The first cabinet door that I opened had a live roach in it. The toilet had one of the liners on the lid indicating that it had been cleaned but there was urine in the toilet. I let the front desk know and they gave me a new room next door. The room keys will only work once for some reason. (Many trips to the front desk.) The TV will not connect to the WiFi. I picked up the phone in the room to call the front desk and ask about the TV but the phone doesn’t work either. They do have basic cable! The w

We had an amazing time here at Emerald Shores and the view on the beach was great. From the point we walked in the door, we were greeted by Trish at the counter who was great and checked us in early. Mark the manager was there and was very friendly and the entire staff was sooo helpful. We will definitely be coming back.
