Elms Motel

I really loved our stay in Elms Motel on November 22, 2025. It was nicely remodeled in 2022 with sleek European finishes. The water was nice and hot in the shower. The heater was well equipped to warm the room. The room had a mini-fridge and coffee maker. The bed was nice and firm on a metal baseboard. Couldn’t have been happier with my stay. The location is about two blocks from the Main Street which is also part of the 395 highway. Being two blocks away is really an advantage for a quiet nights sleep, since many big rigs pass through the highway in the night hours.

It's kinda what you already expect. Reception guy was cool. Rooms are small and cleanish, beds are comfy. Lighting is harsh cold, AC is noisy. Bring ear plugs and hope for quiet neighbours. Big bonus - No gross carpet.

Quiet, off 395, backs onto city park. Property well cared for. Easy to do day hikes to South and Sabrina Lakes off 168 or farther afield Tom’s Place and Rock Creek. Travellers’ motel, hospitable and helpful manager couple on premise 24/7. Modest well cleaned rooms. Charming as modest. Great value for a comfortable nights stay

These are truly good people, extremely caring and compassionate, the rooms are cosey, comfortable, clean, conveniently located yet slightly off the main street for a private feel. I will never stay anywhere else in Bishop unless they are full. HIGHLY recommend this little gem.
