Outstanding staff- a beautiful resort- delicious food- an extraordinary section of Adirondack park. Well maintained trails, easily navigable. Daily breakfast to die for! Incredible resort set off in the woods away from EVERYTHING. Main focus is for outdoor hikers and adventure seekers. The food was wonderful, having to select your choice of three offerings. Dining room staff was very good but the lady named Ausha brought joy and family sense as she takes care of your needs.

We only live 45 minutes away and had two wonderful dinners here this summer! But this time we wanted to stay overnight to get the full experience. It is such a pristine location, photos just can’t capture it all. A perfect place to relax, eat delicious meals, sit by the fire, hike, kayak and then leave feeling completely rejuvenated. My wife and I stayed for only one night but it was so peaceful and relaxing. We stayed in the lodge so had easy access to the cozy lounge with fireplace and reading nooks. The food was excellent. One of the best crème brûlée’s I’ve ever had. Staff were so friendly and polite. Even though it rained we managed to get a couple of short hikes in around the lake. Would have liked to take the canoe out on the lake. Guess we’ll just have to come back again for a longer stay.

What a special place! Elk Lake is a gorgeous setting with views and access to the neighboring Adirondacks. Staying at the Lodge in one of its “cabins” is like being at camp with all the amenities and none of the hassle :). The staff are kind and welcoming. The meals are wonderful: Hearty breakfasts to power you through a day of hikes and paddles, perfectly packed lunches, and special dinners (including fish and vegetarian options) that are beautifully prepared. I have to mention the fresh cut flowers on our table - gorgeous! We will be following in the footsteps of other guests and will return (we hope) for years to come!
