Elk Bend RV Park

I had an absolutely terrible experience with Elk Bend RV Park, and I strongly caution anyone considering booking here. My family reserved three campsites, but due to a sudden death in the family—my mother passed away—I needed to cancel one of the reservations with only three days’ notice. Admittedly, I wasn’t aware of their cancellation policy since a friend booked the sites with their credit card, and I never saw the fine print. But their policy is outrageously strict: full refunds require 30 days’ notice, 50% refunds within 14 days, and zero refunds if you cancel less than 14 days out. Even worse, if you don’t show up on your arrival date, they cancel your reservation without any refund. Stu was a wonderful host and campground was very clean and well kept. Very close to Gold Bug Hot Springs which was a real treat! Wish we would have had more time would have tried the bar across the street and explored the Salmon River. Hope to go back again sometime thanks Stu!

We arrived without a reservation to book as a pull-up. He informed me that there were no full hook-up sites available, only water and electric. Fair enough, so we proceeded to book that. While we were doing so, he ensured me that he had a dumping station on site for our use, (discovered just a full-hookup site with no one in it), but that he would be charging me $10 to dump. I found this very odd as I was now already a paying guest and have never stayed at or heard of an RV park charging for dumping when already paying for a non-full-hookup site. I was now totaling charges of $60 (same as full-hookup) but not getting a full-hookup site! I explained that we were needing to dump once before setting up our motorhome for the night and again in the morning before leaving. He let me know it woul

Fantastic little RV park. Had a great time chatting with the owner. He runs a tight ship. Bathrooms clean. Sites are nice. Location excellent. We will definitely stay here again when we come back through this area.

The RV park is in a fantastic location to enjoy the hike to the Goldbug Hot Springs.Very safe with WiFi,power station water restrooms and showers . Please don't miss to stay in Elk Bend RV Park the owner is very nice.Goldbug Hot Springs is a Gem 💎 😍 Salmon is a beautiful town❤️
