Economy Inn Odessa

The owners are rude and the rooms are old and smell like smoke. It’s your typical run down old motel. I wouldn’t waste my time going there. And I notice they reply to the 1 stars. Striving to do better yeah right. They seem very defensive. They need to do better. It’s OUTDATED!!! Respond to the owners. That’s because it wasn’t in my name duh! That’s why there’s not record it was in my g/f name.

My daughter refused to sleep in the bed, instead electing to sleep on the floor, on top on her own blanket. She is not a toddler, but 18. We were so tired, a room with John Wayne Gayce would have been agreeable. The front desk women kept asking me if wanted a smoking room. I indicated to her ur was not me that smelled like smoke, but her A/C unit... that was pumping smoky electrical fumes into the lobby-ette area. She made it clear that I must be the origin of the smoke and ignored the unit (i would have bet it was going to ignite before me very eyes) put me in a smoking room anyway. Rooms were am unusually filthy, maybe skip this one I dont smoke

I stayed here for training for work and it was a wonderful experience. It had all the necessities I needed and was very clean. The staff was friendly and I felt safe and comfortable. I will be staying here every time I visit Odessa.

I’ve been staying here for awhile because of my job. Pros:: the family that owns and runs the property are great down to earth people. Friendly, helpful, keeps up on cleaning in the rooms and outside. Yes it’s an older motel but they try their hardest to keep it up and taking care of the maintenance. Price isn’t bad for the area and it’s easy to find. The only few things I would like to be different is the bedding needs to be updated, an actual size refrigerator with a freezer in the top and some kind of awning in the parking lot for customers to park under to protect their vehicles from hail and blazing hot sunshine. Otherwise I’m good with the place and the nice family that owns it, would recommend it to anyone.

I stayed there with a friend a week or two ago it took us all of five minutes to get to the room and the smell was strange to say the least ,but we were going to stay till we saw bed bugs, we left immediately. We do have the receipts of us checking in and getting a refund. The only good thing was we got a refund. Would not recommend staying here.
