Econo Lodge Whiteville

Room was very clean. Owner was SO nice to show me the room before I paid for it (based on some negative reviews by some patrons earlier) but neighbor next door was EXTREMELY noisy with TV and music of some sort. Here it is. 10:45 PM and he's still blasting his music!! Hopefully he turns it down soon. The ROAD noise, also, is very loud, although of course the owner can't do anything about that! Just keep it in mind if you want to stay here and you're a light sleeper. TV channel guide is quite difficult and time-consuming.

Front desk clerk was not friendly, Room 107 was not cleaned completely. Beer cap on floor next to ironing board. Hair on bathtub. Refrigerator had loose element hanging inside unit, placed a 1liter bottle of water inside unit around 9pm[sat]and removed water around 8am[Sunday]bottle was frozen solid. SMH

I have stayed here many times within the past few years and have never had any problems worth complaining about. It is an older building but is kept clean and neat. The beds are comfortable with clean sheets and the wash clothes and towels are of good quality and not worn out like lots of other hotels I have stayed at. Sometimes other guest are noisy and inconsiderate, but you will see that at any hotel. They have a free breakfast, free wifi, good parking and room for tractor -trailer parking at the rear. Also a good little restaurant next door that stays open late. I would recommend this hotel if you're working in the area and looking for a good reasonably priced room.||The staff is friendly and helpful.

Room was not clean, floors were nasty had to use hand sanitizer on our feet. Everything was dusty, tv was filthy, phone didn't work, bathroom floor was definitely dirty, tub stained and handicap bar wasn't in it for safety. I'm disabled in my back so couldn't take a shower sad. There was used hair conditioner was put with soap by the sink with velcro stuck to it. Long black hair was inside the shower curtain and in ice bucket. I was having to travel for a medical procedure and so I had to take certain medications. I had an accident and sorry I couldn't help it. I ask the front desk if they had mattress protector on it and she said yes. When the housekeeper came to change the linen guess what no protector. The owner/clerk is rude. She charged me a higher rate than I actually booked for online. Why do you have online discounts if you won’t honor the rate the customer books? (The rate was a choice hotel rate by the way). I booked for 1 adult and 3 children. She said I had to pay extra for the 3rd child. If I was not booking this room for someone in an emergency situation, I would have gotten another hotel immediately! The lady I booked for just had surgery so upon check in I requested a room on the 1st floor. The clerk (a different one) said it was too late, my room had already been assigned. I extended the room (still not honoring my online rate) and this clerk/owner had someone go to the room to count how many people were in there. I’m booking and paying for someone else. Is that a c
