Econo Lodge Newton

The place is so dirty the housekeepers don't clean anything! Everything's stained and filthy, the shower leaks all over the bathroom floor. The housekeepers wear the same gloves to make the beds as they do to take out the garbage. You literally have to clean the room yourself when you get there cuz it's so dirty. I've also seen them take the used towel that you stand after the shower to stand on to clean the room with the same towel. The light switches the outlets the door knobs the door frames everything is covered in black dirtiness. I can imagine what their house looks like and the front office smells like a dog kennel.

Manager with short curly hair is incredibly rude and lacks customer service skills. Will tell you the rooms are full or go out of her way to make you not have what you ask for. If you have a voucher, she will give u thr worst room she can. The rest of the staff has been awesome, accommodating and friendly! Some rooms are great,nice housekeepers

Honestly, we were super surprised at how comfortable we were staying here. Yes, it's not the Holiday Inn Express with a free breakfast, but that was booked and we took a chance. I gave the location five stars because obviously we wanted to be in Newton. I gave the service 5 stars because the check-in experience was exceptionally friendly and accommodating and the only thing we asked for was an extra blanket and it was immediately provided. Very friendly and professional staff, no complaints whatsoever. The double queen room we had was large and super clean. Bathroom was spotless too. It's dated yes and the memory foam bed was a bit hard to get used to, but that might be my own issue lol. I had so many doubts about staying here and I have to say I was glad we did. The room was not pictured on there website as it was in person when we got to our room. The room was dusty and cobwebs on the lights. The maid man was watching us as we left our room and I thought that was creepy. The lady in the lost our check out was rushing us out and asked us when we were getting picked up. That was none of her business. The all stay was not worth 181 that I paid for 2 nights. Oh and pillows were stained. Not a hotel I would come back too. False advertisement and poor management skills. And when it was time to check out, the maid man was rushing us out of our room. Not very happy and will not be coming back. Tried to have a good New Year's with my significant other but we were both unsatisfied with our stay

I very much enjoyed my stay at Econo Lodge in Newton NJ. Everyone here is friendly and the owner Rakesh has gone far and above for me and treated me with kindness and respect. I definitely recommend this motel. Their prices are reasonable and the rooms are clean. I know other motels in the area and surrounding areas. None can compare. I thank Rakesh and his staff who are outstanding.
