Econo Lodge Monticello

Traveling alone, I arrived at after 9 PM. The desk clerk voluntarily price matched for me and voluntarily put me on the ground floor, where I could park right in front of my room. Service and safety means more to me than anything, and he went above and beyond. The room was clean and accommodating. The hotel was conveniently located off the interstate. I would recommend anyone traveling to stop here instead of going on to Tallahassee and paying out outrageous prices and fighting traffic. Again, the service was Stellar. Kudos!

We came to this hotel late expecting tv comes with (CC) subtitles bec we are deaf and rely on that. But nope theres no way to set up bec the remote not doing anything not even changing channels. We are too tired to walk up to the front desk to have tv fix. No we can’t call from the room theres no TTY provide. So we just play on our phone and ipad. What’s more theres bath soap you can’t hold on in big hand. So small and no bottles of shampoo/conditioner. So they charge us this much for something not working. Humm

My family stayed there and booked 1 night through hotels.com . Little over a month ago. They got in super late at night , Litte roaches throughout room. Stains and burns in the furniture/ bedding. On hotels.com left review and they responded with the typical apology but they added “ would love to speak with you and compensate you “….i never would’ve asked for any money back but after they publicly said how they felt bad and wanted to refund or compensate me I was like okay . However , after I made contact with them when they posted their concern , they never called back , can’t seem to ever get ahold of the “ manager” , even hotels.com also said their attempt was unsuccessful. So much for them caring to make it right .

Older hotel vibes, but it was perfect for what my family of 4 needed late and night to sleep and head back on the road early morning. Nice vinyl flooring so no gross carpeting. Had a strange smell but once you turned the air on it goes away. Felt comfortable being there with my 4 and 6 yr old. Hotel is tucked away from the loud highway, sleep was easy.

The hotel was ok but very dated and run down. The phone didn’t work in the room, the furniture was in very rough shape, there were cigarette burns on both the furniture and the linens, and there was a huge gap in the seal of the exterior door. The staff was accommodating and friendly. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere but right off of Interstate 10, so access to Tallahassee took about 15 minutes.
