Econo Lodge Inn & Suites North Syracuse Airport

The room was good sized. The bed was comfortable. The room and the towels and sheets were clean. The price was good value for the space. However, the laundry room required a special key from the front desk for access; did not have a light; the dial on the washer was missing. The noise traveled well within the building. Also, the breakfast had only high sugar choices: Frosted Flakes, Fruit Loops, Sugar Pops, etc.

I am a Diamond Choice Privileges member and I booked this room with points. I booked a 2 queen, non smoking room. When I arrived, I had been moved to a single queen room. I was told I was an "SRQ" or some such thing and was lucky I wasn't put in a smoking room. Literally, that's what I was told. I said if I had been put in a smoking room I would have left immediately. As it was, after arguing with the check in person for 15 minutes (at 1am), I accepted the 1 queen bed and my daughter, who was traveling with me, stayed with friends instead of sharing the room with me. I will NEVER EVER stay at this place again and will tell everyone who visits (my daughter attends Syracuse University) to STAY AWAY. I am also filing a complaint with Choice Privileges and, if nothing is done, I will end my 20

Through no fault of management, getting to this hotel was a challenge created by the signage used on New York State roads. Still after only two tries, we found the facility. The parking spaces were ample. In spite of the current trend for online check-in, here the process remains manual. No problem. The room was older and somewhat worn (burn holes in the armchair and a couple more in a blanket on the bed), and bathroom ventilation was via a small window to open. The room was reasonably clean, but we still wore foot coverings. Everything worked fine: plenty of hot water for the shower, the heater/AV unit worked and was not overly loud, refrigerator was cold, and the wifi was very adequate. Room 110 was absolutely disgusting! if it wasn't for there being no other rooms available do to Syracuse University parents weekend i would not have stayed. My wife and i went to Tops market and purchased both Lysol and Clorox Cleanup to do the best we could with sanitizing the room. i will be reporting this to the health department as well and already filed a complaint with corporate.

Not kid friendly since it seems all the people staying there including the workers are chain smoking with doors open. The comforter has a hole in it and the sheets stained. What I can only assume was puke on the bathroom wall and the same was on the towel over the bathtub. Hair on the floor, in sink, and bathtub. Holes in the wall behind bathroom and front door. The floor was so filthy. We checked in an immediately left as we had a party to get to and when we returned and tried to contact someone no one answered and when I checked out the guy was fine with English until I complained and then acted like he couldn't understand me. Pretty sure there was bed bugs also as I woke up to being bit multiple times. Stay far away from this place. I even had photos and he refused to look at them. And
