Customer Reviews
I absolutely love some of the staff here. The lady at front desk in the morning is absolutely amazing I think her name is Nahiri , taller guy at front desk evenings and night audit lady. Housekeeping staff is the absolute best. But there is one staff member who is just horribly rude to melanated guests. Short angry guy that works front desk. He's condescending, rude and impatient. He will do his best not to be polite or actually help. He once tried to make me wait overnight for a roll of toilet paper. I see him, I turn around and I get my son who is 6'4" to speak to him. I will not deal with him at all. His horrible demeanor is a stain on otherwise friendly and hospitable service team.
The room looked like it was duct-taped together. The ceiling was damaged in the main room. The bathroom floor tiles were almost all buckling up. The shower grout looked like a Chia Pet. The room smelled weird, which could have been because of the proximity to the industrial areas and the Savannah River, but I didn't smell this at the gas station across the road. There was no coffee in the room, and they only have it in the detached office from 6-9 a.m. I asked, and they got defensive about it. (Where's the hospitality?) In short, I wouldn't send anyone to stay there again. Oh, and the stormwater ran about two inches deep right down the main sidewalk in a short rain storm. It's the worst hotel room I've ever had. I'm 52, and I've been to many over the years.
Positive: Front desk and the couple who cleaned the rooms were very nice. Negative: 1. Floor was dirty, wiped it down myself2. Fridge made an awful noise, hard to sleep.3. Coffee dispenser did not work and they did not have another one.
My husband made reservations for us online for a 1 bed queen size. They took the payment and when we arrived, they said the room wasn't available and put us in a room with 2 double beds. I wasn't happy about that and had read they do this a lot. That's false advertising. Otherwise, the linens and towels were super clean. It was overall quite. The shower needed a little more cleaning to remove some residual mildew from the grout. The coffee and muffins were good. It wasn't bad for 1 or 2 nights, but I guess it depends on what room you get.
Wi-Fi was down for the first two nights I was here maintenance guy fixed it immediately no big deal the staff has been very kind and friendly. Rooms are very clean I've been in other hotels that have roaches bugs I haven't seen a single one in this room I've been in staff is very attentive I'm impressed
