Econo Lodge Elberton

I stayed at this hotel for six days. The room layout was functional, the bed was comfortable, and all appliances technically worked, which I appreciated. However, I was very disappointed by the misleading amenities advertised on the hotel’s website. It states: *“Our thoughtful amenities are easy on your wallet, meaning you can enjoy free WiFi, free continental breakfast and comfy guest rooms with peace of mind.”* Unfortunately, this was not accurate. There was no breakfast offered on the property at all—not even coffee. There wasn’t even a coffee maker in the room. I ended up making noodles using the microwave, which worked, but it seemed underpowered since the food was only semi-hot. The biggest issue, though, was the Wi-Fi. The man who owns the hotel is so so nice. He makes you feel like family instead of just another customer! I can't say enough about him 😊 he's simply awesome!!

Huge thanks to Jay and the team at Econo Lodge Elberton. A colleague and I got stuck in town due to a winter storm, and Jay answered the phone immediately, letting us know a room was available and reminding us to stay safe on the roads. The hospitality was genuinely appreciated—he made the situation far less stressful while we waited for conditions to improve. Exactly the kind of service you hope for when travel plans don’t go as expected. Would absolutely recommend if you’re passing through the area.

Positive: The location and price was average. Negative: The room was un-sanitized. Towels were stained. The bed had sand on the sheets, sheets had body fluid and blood stains. The replacement sheets were also stained. The carpet was torn and dirty. I pulled all the sheets off the bed and slept on the mattress.

Beds were clean. Bathroom had quite a few spiders. Rooms look like they were just put together quickly during minor renovation. Fridge didn’t work. Mirror was broke. Bathtub was dirty. Stopper in tub was broken so if I wanted to take a bath I couldn’t. Room was inexpensive so if you just need a place to crash while driving through and these things don’t matter then overall not the worst. Walls are thin.
