This Econo Lodge is located in the Southern Tier of NY State in the small town of Cuba, NY. I stayed here briefly recently on a trip to visit family. The hotel is conveniently located about an 1/4 mile off exit 28 on l-86. The building is set back and at a lower elevation from the highway. This ensures that you’ll hear minimal traffic noise. The room was clean. The price for the room was very reasonable. Check-in and check-out were simple and efficient. The hotel staff were polite. They offer a continental breakfast in the morning. I had a minor billing issue that they corrected immediately. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever in the area.
Econolodge is the best place to stay in Cuba. NY It's near the interstate, but you can't hear trafic.Rooms are clean and quaint. Brand new lobby and deck in the back. Excellent customer service as property is managed by|A very organized couple who|are very customer oriented. Good continental breakfast and VERY comfortable beds and pillows. Great night's sleep and planning on staying here on a regular basis as I do business in Cuba four or five times a year. Outstanding experience!
We found a bed bug on my daughter’s pillow after having stayed the night. As a result, we had to place all of our clothing and luggage in garbage bags to be cleaned and chemically treated upon our arrival at home the next day. We also had to chemically clean the interior of my vehicle. We were refunded the cost of one room and promised a complimentary stay at a future occasion, but the matter needs to be addressed, further, along with these issues: The carpet was dirty and worn to tearing at the seams. There were food particles on the floor as though the rooms hadn’t been vacuumed. There was staining on the bedding. There was food/garbage in the fold away bed/couch. The desk chair was falling apart to wear the vinyl crumbled into my hand. The complimentary breakfast was “simple” to
Overall it was good. I did not like the cigarette butts as you entered or the strong smell of smoke at the front door. I thought it was odd the desk clerk couldn’t tell the room rate since I reserved it online, but I had to initial on a form that I accepted the room rate. The room had plenty of room and there was a microwave and a refrigerator. It was clean. The continental breakfast was good.
When I arrived the front desk said they only had a room with 2 double beds. I made a reservation a week in advance for a queen bed. They did finally give me a queen room, but not with out some conversation. The room was pretty clean other than the drain in the sink. Could use some updates, and new bedding and towels.
