Eagle's Nest Campground

We stayed here for about two months and had a wonderful experience. We made a life long friend with the campground manager, Kathy. If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet and cozy place to rest then look no further. This lovely campground has everything you need from showers to laundry and a cute little common space with seating and fire pit. Would recommend to anyone.

This was our first time to WV, and we chose to visit the New River Gorge area. Eagle’s Nest Campground was conveniently located where we wanted to explore. Upon arrival, Kathy the campground manager greeted us warmly as if we had been friends for years! She got us checked in, and provided tons of information and maps of the area suggesting many things to do and see. Upon our many comings and goings we would see Kathy checking on the bathrooms and other campers, and she always took time to stop and check on how we were doing both in the campground and on our travels. Have never had this kind of treatment at a campground before, and my wife and are full time in our rv so we have been to many campgrounds. The campground and bathrooms are clean, neat, and well kept. Cannot begin to describe the level of hospitality we were met with when we decided to camp at this campground, we had many setbacks on our little vacation from our car breaking down to our rv losing heat. But despite all these problems we had the time of our lives. You could not ask for a better person to be around than Mrs Kathie she is the sweetest nicest lady any of us have ever met, we were late to return because our truck broke down on the side of the highway, while waiting on a tow we called Mrs Kathie to let her know we would be late and if it would be easier to pay through the phone. Mrs Kathie’s only reaction was to make sure we were okay and if we needed anything to help. She offered to pick us up, she suggested a trusted shop (Davis auto motive which was cheap and fast) she even

Great place to stay! The campground is located near area attractions and offers an affordable alternative to expensive hotels. Each tent site has a fire pit and a picnic table, and access to the on-site bathhouse. The campground manager is extremely friendly and provides great customer service for guests. I highly recommend this location and plan to come back again in the future

I couldn’t say better things about this place. Kathy was an absolute doll and was so friendly and sweet both over the phone and in-person. We tent camped during a cold night so we were the only people in the tent field area and we got a great spot that was secluded yet close to the restroom. I was so at peace here and felt very safe. Thank you Kathy! We will return when back in WV :)
