Dutch Motel by OYO near Hersheypark

I would give zero stars if I could. I booked online through a WELL KNOWN 3rd party site and prepaid $136 two days in advance. When I arrived she told me she had no record of the booking and that I had not called HER or paid HER so SHE could not give me a room until THEY released my payment information and funds to her because she "wasn't giving me a room for free" despite trying to show her on the app that it was already paid for and confirmed. She sent me back to my car to contact the 3rd party site to release the funds. I waited on hold while the representative called her and let her know that it was already paid in full and the funds would be released AFTER the stay was completed and he told me she was rude and yelling at him on the phone and not understanding what he was trying to tell

Quoted and paid Expedia $46.00. Then charged additional $109.00 on arrival dishonest and deceptive. Place is worth $25.00. Woman at counter is very unpleasant and rude. Room is as it was built in 1962. Decore and presentation is outdated and wore out. Recommend sleeping in car not there

So, if you are looking for somewhere inexpensive to stay in the Hershey area and are basically just looking for a bed - this place is for you. The bathrooms work, as does the AC and I found that the beds were clean. The fridge and microwave were a nice bonus. The location is really the key - pretty close to Hershey, a great location to stay if you are going to a concert or event there. However, that is the end of the positives. The place was pretty run down and not overly clean. There were weird spots on my wall and also weird writing on one of the walls. The bathroom worked, and the toilet seemed new. DISGUSTING. We booked a hotel for the night for a concert in Hershey. As soon as we walked in the room it smelt of cigarettes and a cockroach was running around on the floor. Toilet paper was obviously used to clean needles, and tape over the outlet covers. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Pay more money and come home with no roaches.

I booked the Dutch Motel approximately one month before a trip to Hershey, Pennsylvania.
