Drifting Sands Oceanfront Hotel

Great staff. Flawlessly friendly and kind. I was happy that I got a really nice room but became unhappy when I realized that none of the many windows didn't open. The operations manager immediately upgraded me to a room with a slider and balcony with an ocean view! The next day when I confirmed that checkout was at 11, I was asked, "Is that okay?" Clearly there was leeway if needed. Free beach equipment and towels. Perfectly located straight off the causeway. Excellent experience!

A dream destination, especially for a family with young kids. Being oceanfront was such an advantage and gave us ample access to the beach. Being able to sit on the balcony and watch the ocean during nap times and having slow mornings was amazing. The proximity of the beach made hauling the family to the beach so much easier! Additionally, not having to pack towels and chairs gave us more room to pack the cribs in the car. Also, being able to walk to food and conveniences, while being situated in the middle of the island is a HUGE advantage. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. We look forward to regularly visiting each season. So happy to have been clients to such a fantastic place and business.

Great location and service, not so great room. When booking a pay ahead discounted rate we thought that would mean we maybe get a view of parking lot or something like that. We had not considered that may mean the quality and cleanliness of the room would be compromised by that rate. Bedding was of poor quality and stained on the inside of the comforter. Bathroom needs a serious deep clean, especially the shower/tub. All staff encounters were professional and nice, but just know if booking their discounted rate, the room does not look as advertised. Also wifi does not reach the Ocean Breeze building in our experience.

This was our 1st time staying at Drifting Sands Oceanfront Hotel. We've been going to The Engleside Inn in Beach Haven for 25 years however they stopped allowing dogs, sadly. Drifting Sands was great. Room was very clean and the entire staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back.

The location of this hotel is the key to its success. For those of us who travel with our pets, it is also one of the only ones on the island that accept pets. The hotel is clean and the staff is excellent. They are friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and having a fridge and microwave are helpful. We had a room with a balcony and that was lovely. This hotel needs an update. The carpets need to be replaced and new floors added. The doors in the hallways (leading to the stairs) need to be painted. Simple upgrades would make this an even more perfect place to stay. I am thankful for the chairs and towels they offer.
