Downing Mountain Lodge and Retreat

Downing Mountain Lodge is SWEET. It's in such a cool spot (and that deck overlooking the valley is SO cool!), with all kinds of backcountry ski options. For how good the ski access is, it's amazing how easy the access to the lodge itself is - super short approach and you can do it on a snow machine. The kitchen is so well set up that it makes cooking for groups wicked easy. The sleeping accommodations are comfortable and cozy. John & Valli have done an amazing job with the place. Also there's a sauna and hot tub?!? Sign me up again, please.

Can’t recommend highly enough for a great backcountry skiing experience. The lodge boasts beautiful views of the valley, great access to ski zones off Downing, and top notch amenities like hot tub, sauna, and a professional kitchen. The owner is an incredible source of local knowledge and so helpful to make sure you find pow and stay safe. Thanks for everything!

Wow speechless. Best air bnb this side of the border. Fair price point and amazing views. Definitely worth the small trek up the MTN. Great owner. Cannot go wrong here folks.
