DoubleTree by Hilton Las Vegas East Flamingo

All the staff I spoke with were very friendly. The room was clean. The attached restaurant had good breakfast and late night options. My room had a nice big tv. The room was done up very thoughtfully upon arrival with a folded town and even a folded tissue in the top of the box. The mattress was much more stiff than I’m used to - as were the towels unfortunately. Also, the sheer blinds were the only ones that closed, which isn’t great for privacy or for blocking out the city lights for a good sleep. They do large pump bottles of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner mounted to the wall, which I think is probably the right direction to use less plastic than the tiny ones for every single guest. Positive: Clean Negative: They don't have cards keys to open my room , every time I have to ask for service to get my door open and get in . One they the security person get mad with me because this person was waiting for me before they open the door but wasn't my fault at all.

Overall, it turned out to be a very solid choice, especially for a business-focused trip. The location worked well. It’s a reasonably short commute to both the Strip and the Las Vegas Convention Center, making it convenient without being in the middle of the congestion and noise. Getting in and out each morning was straightforward, and rideshares were easy to coordinate. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful from check-in onward. We recently had a business meeting at the DoubleTree Hotel on East Flamingo. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I am a vegetarian with celiac disease. They were very quick to accommodate my dietary needs with tasty and healthy meals. It wasn’t the usual iceberg salads. The kind greetings from Jon, Lexi and Brianna each day was wonderful and made me feel like I was seeing my friends each day. Lei’s help at check-in made a difficult situation much better. |Their staff is great!

It's a place to sleep. However... No free breakfast. The restaurant food is cheap quality at high prices. There is not a microwave (the communal microwave doesn't count). The location is very sketchy and you're barred in for safety (not exaggerating. The parking lot is barred). The TV keeps going out, probably due to the flight RADAR since we're directly under the landing zone. This sucks during football playoffs. Marci is a great staff person, and a credit to the place. However, I don't plan on staying here again. I'll just pay more for a better place. This is Hilton's version of the Motel 6.
