DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Los Angeles Downtown

We had an amazing experience during our check-in thanks to Daniela at Hilton. She took the time to walk us through the neighborhood map of Los Angeles and explained everything so clearly, which was incredibly helpful for us as visitors. She also accommodated our requests in such a friendly and welcoming manner. This kind of genuine hospitality and excellent customer service is rare to find these days. Daniela truly made our stay start on a wonderful note. Thank you for going above and beyond!

The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice, and clean. The lobby felt a bit shabby but it was safe and in what looked to be a safe area. The only drawback was that their food prices were expensive. A plastic bottle of Diet Coke in their lobby pantry is $7.99. The food in their restaurant was delicious but we had read online that breakfast was included so went through the very basic buffet and then were presented with a bill for $84 dollars. The buffet alcove was NOT marked, there were no menus to look at our options, not prices were stated anywhere, the waiter didn’t say a word. it looked like a hundred ‘breakfast is included’ buffets that we have had in our travels. A comfortable stay with warm hospitality and great location near Downtown LA and Hollywood. Loved the signature cookie welcome 🍪, spacious rooms, and friendly service. Amenities like the gym and on-site dining added convenience — though parking’s a bit pricey. Overall, a cozy and reliable stay for both business and leisure!

Amazing hotel and first time been in that hotel. Everything wasn't that far to get to plus the train is in a walking distance. Cons - the shower needs a better water guard. Water kept coming out Best location ever. The receptionist was cool when I mention ill have someone come to decorate the room for valentines day. They were cool helping the person that would decorate the room ^_^

This was unfortunately a really disappointing stay at a place we had high hopes for. We arrived early to request that our garden view room be on a higher floor, if possible, and store our luggage. All good. When we returned to check in around 6 PM the lobby was chaos. Eventually we got our first communication after some time in line from a security guard, not a DoubleTree employee, with a roll of red tickets who said that the system was down and the 50 parties in line would be given a number to check in once things were back up and going. This meant no time to get ready for our evening, no ability to use the lobby restroom (you need a room key!), and no management to speak to about the problem.
