DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Binghamton

Absolutely dreadful. Room had such a strong musty odor, I asked for another room. There were none available. It was 9 pm & I didn’t know the area so I stayed for 10 horrible stinky, suffocating hours. By the time checked out everything in my suitcase smelled like dead wet skunk Receptionist said “ I hope you’ll give us another chance”. Nope. Never. If you have a choice, stay elsewhere.

Had a staycation at a suite there last night to celebrate a friend's birthday! We had the best time! The suite had 2 Q-beds, and 2 bathrooms, and 2 large rooms: bedroom/ bathroom; and living/ dining/bathroom + sink/fridge. There was a TV in each area also. Someone even commented, "This is bigger than my first apartment!" It was so clean and the beds were VERY comfortable! They have easy, secure parking, also. What a beautiful lobby and the warm cookies are so welcoming on a cold day! What more could you ask for?!

Verdict: Not recommended. Safety notice: If they offer you an eighth-floor room, decline immediately—unless you enjoy being part of the demolition. We’ve been loyal Hilton customers for years and exclusively stay in Hilton-branded hotels. This experience was incredibly disappointing. Upon checking in, the young woman who greeted us was extremely rude. She appeared annoyed that she had to assist us and never acknowledged our presence with a simple hello. When I expressed my desire to check in, she acted rudely and, without a word, set up our keys and tossed them on the counter before walking away. I had waited because I needed information about parking and was hoping to receive the delicious cookies that DoubleTree hotels are known for. However, she had no intention of fulfilling this promise.
