Dorrington Hotel

We got married at The Dorrington Hotel on September 6th, and it was the absolute perfect wedding day and weekend. From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was something special. We met Lori, the owner and on-site wedding coordinator, and everything felt magical. Lori was friendly, fun, and incredibly personable. She answered every question we had with confidence and pride, it was clear how much she cares about The Dorrington and all the improvements and upgrades she’s made over the past ten years. The venue itself was exactly what we dreamed of, large enough for our 250-person wedding, surrounded by trees and mountain charm, and flexible enough to truly make the space our own. As you climb out of the California Gold Country and the foohills become deeply forested you come to Dorrington at 4,800 feet elevation . The hotel is a charming two story historic hotel with five bedrooms in the main hotel and a separate cabin. The bedrooms are good sized and decorated in the bed and breakfast country style with very comfortable beds and excellent linens. The five bedrooms share two immaculate, spacious bathrooms. Although all five bedrooms were in use on the weekend we were there, it was quiet and the bathrooms were always available and stayed just as tidy as they were before being used.||There is a small lobby and a comfortable front porch,complete with rockers.||If you need TV, Wi Fi etc. this is not your spot.||The big surprise is that you don't have to go anywhere fo

The Christmas tree lighting is a great family event. The hot cocoa was on point. They also sell beverages for the adults.

My experience was absolutely amazing! The venue is beautiful, the hotel is beautiful, everything was wonderful! I especially enjoyed working with Lori. She was prompt with responses to emails and extremely organized. We rented out the hotel and cutest little cottage for newlyweds along with the venue. The rooms were cozily decorated along with the beds and pillows being super comfy. Wonderful experience throughout, I highly recommend!

The dorrington hotel is super charming and very quaint place. The hotel is located on a huge piece of land, surrounded by redwood trees and mountains in the distance, a very picturesque place for a wedding. Next door is the local pub, The Lube Room, with the best beers and burgers in town, where they play live music too. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway or even a special event!
