Our stay here was amazing! We stayed here last year and we had the best time. The owner, Brenda, is beyond kind. She was so helpful. The cabin was spotless upon arrival. There is a brand new hot tub on the back patio and it was sparkling clean. We had so much fun walking the trails all day, and coming back to the cabin, making a meal and sitting in the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, bowls, plates etc. I would recommend this property to anyone! It is such a great memory my husband and I.

Our family of four, including two teens, returned recently from a wonderful four-night stay at the Chestnut. The cabin was far more luxe than we expected, yet still homey and not overdone. Extremely clean, spacious and comfortable, with all the mod-cons that teens can't seem to live without (WiFi, flat-screen tvs, etc). We loved soaking in the hot tub, with lovely a lovely view of the field, after a day of rafting or hiking. The location is great, too. A short drive to rafting, hiking, Summersville Lake, Hawks's Nest State Park and Babcock State Park. Brenda's restaurant recommendations were terrific, too--don't miss the Secret Sandwich Society in Fayetteville! But the cabin was so comfortable that we were happy to eat in, too.

Our family of 8 (4 couples) planned to meet up in West Virginia for a weekend of whitewater rafting. The Chestnut cabin was the perfect place to gather together, yet have our own spaces. The cabin is immaculately clean and is in excellent condition with all the comforts of home - attractive decor, fresh linens and towels, wifi, hot tub, satellite radio piped throughout the house, TVs in each bedroom, and a fully-equipped kitchen with everything we needed to make a great meal after a day of rafting. The Chestnut is close to Adventures on the Gorge and other attractions. No light pollution here either so we had an amazing view of the stars and the Milky Way. Brenda was extremely helpful and friendly. Any time we return to West Virginia we plan to stay here. We didn't want to leave!

Dogwood Cabins is cozy and luxurious. Brenda and her husband make sure to keep this place clean and quaint. There are a lot of personal touches that made you feel comfortably at home right away. Even the wi-fi was there that was quite a decadent treat for a rock climbing trip. We had TVs in each room, a hot tub, and 2.5 bathrooms, which is plenty to go round for 7 people. My favourite part to the cabin was the side deck with the 3 man swing. It was very lovely. Thank you!

Beautiful, clean, comfortable cabin exactly as described. It's even less expensive than the rustic, poorly reviewed rafting cabins. Great hot tub. Enjoyed the firepit, porch swing and many trails on the property. Quick (5 min), easy drive to rafting, hiking the gorge trails and into Fayetteville. Plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. Highly recommended!
