Dogwood Motel

Well first, got to the hotel after 3pm said open but no one was in office, you had to call the # on the door. We did and they said give them 15 min. Bull!!!! We made reservations for Dogwood Mountain View Ar put in for a king bed, instead they give us a room with two small beds, because they don’t allow Dogs in there king rooms. My dog is a service corgi. Then couldn’t get are door open, the air nor the heat worked. They had a fan on the stand, and a portable heater in the corner of the room. The tv remote wouldn’t work so we was stuck on one channel. The room smelled like mold. We normally come here every year to visit my family, and stay at the Dogwood but we won’t be staying there anymore!!!!😡😡🤬

Positive: Felt safe. Nice older place but was unique. Negative: I did not like the 5$ charge per child fee. The room price should be the same, kids or no kids. Very few hotels charge like this. It was an insult for being a parent. I was not asked about kids until I entered my room then received a call saying I owed $.

This motel room had flys everywhere! They said because doors were open meanwhile it was 30 degrees outside. I could not sleep. Flys were landing on me. It was so disgusting. Then at the front desk they were very rude told me nothing they could do about it. My towel was old and had a hole in it. I would not recommend this place. I wanted to give them a chance as I was driving right by it.

This wasn't a top line hotel, but I wasn't expecting it to be. We had a nice and quiet room. Our room was next to a grassy area. This was great since we had our service dog with us. The only problem we had was the sink was stopped us and took forever to drain.

We always stay here when we come to Mt View. We could not ask for any better. We have been staying here since the owners kids were small. The rooms are always clean. We have never had a problem with service. We won’t stay anywhere else .
