Designer Inn & Suites

My partner and I got the Aces Wild room for the night this weekend and had a blast. As two plus size people, the big jacuzzi was so nice. We did run into a small issue with the tub, but management was very responsive and helped. Can't wait to book the Cave room next! For a little run-down hotel in a dinky little Toledo, IA, it was fun to go thrifting, get some snacks from Kwik Star, and chillax in a fun themed room!

The water never gets hot enough for the hot tub. The shower does not get hot. The sauna takes over an hour to heat. ||The cleaning g crew came at 8 am and we weren't quite ready for cleaning. We left at about 830 and came back about 7 pm. The cleaning crew never came back, so we had no new towels, our bed wasn't made, and garbages weren't emptied. ||Tried talking to the front desk and the gentleman just said "sorry" and got me some towels. ||What's the point t of saying something to the front desk if they are just going to say "sorry" and not actually fix anything? Why spend so much money on a room when you can't use the hot tub, sauna, or shower?

Positive: "" Negative: The hallways smelled of carpet deodorant. Room 226 had a noisy bathroom fan and I left the hotel with serious bedbug bites all over my neck and hands which required medical care after I got home. I had 16 bites on one hand and around 24 over my neck.

Here for Valentines Day weekend to visit Meskwaki- hotel was booked solid so we booked here. And it was a pleasant surprise. We did not get a designer room- all booked up for those. Our room was 102. Pros: Outside property looks good, clean, tidy, kept up Room was clean! Bed was comfortable! Continental breakfast provided, fruit, cereal, waffles, muffins, coffee, juice Vending machine for soda and snacks Staff friendly and helpful Indoor pool Everything clean Paid $111 and some change for two nights in our non-themed room We were happy with our stay!!! Cons: It’s not updated, kinda older but that’s ok with us. Still in nice shape No elevator!!! No mini fridge or microwave in our room For a place to sleep that’s clean and comfy and affordable- we were well pleased and would stay again.

I got one of the standard rooms. The bed is comfortable, and the place was clean and quiet. Great room for the rate I got it at. I gave it 4 stars only because the bed, though comfortable mad a weird nose when you moved. I know, that sounds nuts. But it was a loud rumbling sound, (think bending sheet metal). And there is no elevator. It didn't matter to me, but if you're unable to make a trek up stairs, you may be out of luck. All in all, I would stay here again.
