I stayed in a privately owned unit. The host was mostly responsive and communication was generally fine. Overall, the unit offers great value, the location is convenient , but the building conditions and amenities are something future guests should be aware of. The whole building and the unit had a very strong smell, likely from cleaning agent. The internet is shared among all residents in the building and was slow and not steady. The shower water was only lukewarm, never truly hot. According to the host, that issue is with the building , not the unit. While one elevator in inside the building lobby, requires key access, the other is not, meaning anyone can technically enter the building. Where do I start....I was in condo 320. The lock on the entry door takes 2-3 times putting in the code before it lets you in. The door handle itself has loose screws so at one point I couldn't get out of my room. The lock in the balcony door doesn't fully latch, so the door can easily be pulled open and there is only a 2 foot wall between the adjoining balconies. The deadbolt does not work. The room smelled like a old stale cigarette and industrial strength cleaner. There is no sound proofing so you can hear every car, truck, motorcycle or cop car pass by, like they are right next to you. The toilet runs all the time. Our room had the perfect view! We loved sitting on our balcony. Easy parking. Easy beach access. Nice pool. Friendly staff. No breakfast here but we were able to walk to several nearby restaurants. The elevator was slow but functional. We will definitely stay here again.

Was visiting someone here that was actually renting. Had a parking pass as well. The end parking stop has severe exposed rebar and the parking lot can be a tight squeeze if theres other cars around. Pulled in, Went to straighten up a bit and brand new tire hit this rebar on the inside and immediately popped it. When I say brand new, I mean like a month ago. Brand new tires. Currently dont have a spare either. I believe she is the HOA president was extremely quick to say "because its never happened to anyone else, it was my fault. " and that was it. Just because something hasnt happened before doesnt mean there isnt clearly neglect. If a store has extremely wet floors, no sign and the first person to slip falls badly, the store is not out of fault simply because "no one else has slipped."
