Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Downtown Gatlinburg Parkway

Mixed post. I’ll explain. We came here for a short trip a few years back and the experience was awful. We rented a hot tub room. One big problem there wasn’t much hot water. We went to the front desk to see if we could move to the opposite building. They gave us tons of attitude. They finally moved us to our balcony room facing the strip. It has a great view. They’re one less decent, but still not much hot water in that building either. We came down here last night didn’t get into town till about 8 PM and we were only here for one night there was nobody at the desk for at least 30 minutes. Not sure what the young lady was doing that showed up, but the room is nice and there is hot water now other than waiting for anybody to check us in the experience this time was great especially for t

Positive: Room was clean but VERY dark. Desk had no lamp. Bed reasonably comfortable. Negative: Floor in breakfast area was filthy. Staff didnt provide enough 1/2 and 1/2 or milk. Overnight shift left before day staff arrived every day! Day staff person was loudly on the cell phone on personal calls(very unprofessional).

The hotel is absolute trash. The floors are uneven, or "clean room" had stains in it. The shower almost works right. The door doesn't open correctly. There is not breakfast, the os dry cereal and milk. The juice is out of order with no intention of going in order. The pool is closed. The only good thing is Gatlinburg. Definitely worth the trip, just stay ANYWHERE else. A park bench is better option.

The elevators are nasty beyond belief. The walls look like giant rats had been chewing on them for about a year. The carpet was the nastiest thing I have seen in a long time. The carpet was black, gummy, sticky, filthy. It appears that it hadn't been cleaned in years. Be willing to burn your shoes if you ride the elevator. Two electrical outlets in the room didn't work. One was so loose my charger plug wouldn't even stay in. The outlet in the bathroom was literally coming out of the wall. it was out so far that you could see the wiring behind it. The hair dryer plug that was in it was absolutely filthy. The plug was white, but it had a brown sticky looking stain on it. The shower worked great once all the stray hairs were rinsed out first. Very convenient location, and clean. While a few things were a bit dated the service was great. Coffee in the lobby was good, breakfast was minimal, however we made plans to go out for breakfast anyways. Overall, pleased.
