Days Inn by Wyndham Springfield/Phil.Intl Airport

I travel a lot, testing cheap hotels and motels, but this has to be number one on my list of unprofessional stays. First off, the staff behind the counter was more stressed than I was. She was receiving a high volume of calls about refunds and other issues. When she finally finished, she handed me my key. The room smelled like dirt—not cigarettes, which would have been worse, but actual dirt. While the bed was comfortable, there were no sheets provided. When I complained, the clerk said she couldn’t provide any; she spoke in a very rude manner before picking up the phone again. To make matters worse, the phone in the room wasn't working. We were pleased with the cleanliness of the bathroom and the room. The furniture and accessories need updated - nail polish on the nightstand, scratches on the tables and a missing drawer knob on the bureau. The restaurant was closed, so there was no hot breakfast available as the list of amenities indicated. There is also no elevator and the steps to the upper floor are narrow which makes carrying luggage up to the room very difficult.

Please and I mean please stay clear of this place. A roach motel would have been better. No hot water at all!! Sometimes no water at all. My bathroom had dry urine stains on the seat. I was offered another room well let me tell you heck no. That room door the lock was broken , the AC was broken. Just disrespectfully disgusting. This is supposed to be smoke free but the smell of Marijuana coming from the room next to me was it for me. Dirty!!! this is America where is the hot water? Where is water all together? And if it needed to be fix why weren't the guest made aware of the problem? I will never ever return. First and last. I just literally killed a roach !!! Housekeeping is the worse!! I'm writing an actual review here. Stayed for 3 nights and was a bit worried about seeing other reviews about sanitation. However, despite some scratches, cracks, chipping and some wall stuff missing, overall good value. Hot water works super well. Staff at the front was very, very chill. Good area overall. Would recommend getting better blinds though. Especially was extremely relieved that there was no bed bugs or any critters whatsoever. Price per night is good overall here, I would stay here again.

Positive: What I liked best about this hotel was the friendly staff and the clean, comfortable rooms. The location was convenient yet quiet, making my stay relaxing. Negative: Honestly, there wasn’t much to dislike. If anything, I would say that a few small details—more in-room amenities—could make the stay even better.
