Days Inn by Wyndham Middletown

Very disappointed! Very outdated room. Dirty and dingy. We ended up not staying there . Had to find other accomodations. Then tried to cancel. Found another place and tried cancelling 2 hours later and they said I had to cancel 24 hrs ahead. They charged my credit card and I didn't even stay there. I don't recommend anyone staying there !!!

Room was well-maintained and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The only issue we faced was with the outdoor pool which was not heated. My wife was really looking forward to using it! The breakfast leaves something to be desired with waffles the only hot option and little selection of breads (for example, no English muffins) and less than appetizing pastries. Daily maid service (we stayed four nights) was appreciated.

Positive: Location. Adequate plug in charging options. Comfortable bed. Negative: Rust stains in the tub, general maintenance standards extremely low. Mirror did not fit into the rusty track. Door lock had been modified. Waffle batter seems to have been stale.

After arriving after 9am from a business trip. I get to the hotel check in. Immediately notice the smell of cigarette smoke a the “smoke free” room. At this point I was tired and just wanted to go to sleep. Went to the bathroom and saw cigarette butts in the toilet. Still tired, I made myself ready for bed. About an 1.5 hours later I received a knock on the door from staff telling me I have to switch rooms due to the toilet being clogged. I laid back down about 20 minutes later I received another knock rushing me to leave the room. I said ok. I checked out and left maybe 10 minutes after that. I explained everything to the front desk and they told me they would have no problem giving me a refund. They later lied and said I stayed the whole night. They also said I never reported any problem

Had to make a last minute stayover in the area and ended up here. Would not recommend this hotel. The first room we got had red stuff all in one corner of the bathtub. The room smelled bad and I looked at the sheets and saw stains. I asked the manager for another room and he kindly gave us one. It was a bit better but not much. We left in the morning as early as possible. No breakfast provided.
