Days Inn by Wyndham Cherokee Near Casino

This hotel is directly across the street from the casino which was perfect for me. For the price, it wasnt bad. The room was clean, but it's really outdated and old. Customer service was pretty good as well. If your in town for 1 day id recommend staying here if you are on a budget.

Stayed at the Days Inn Cherokee for a Wednesday night mid-October. Was coming from Fontana Dam and going to Biltmore Estate, and this was a good option midway along the route. Check-in process was easy - they had established text messages beforehand so I had informed them what time I expected to arrive. The reception desk guy was also nice enough to let me fill up all my water bottles after a long day of hiking, from the juice dispensers in the breakfast area. I was able to park right outside my room. The door was quite jammed and took effort to get into the room throughout my stay. The room itself was clean and spacious. I think I left a shirt behind there but never heard anything from them, which is fine - my fault. The breakfast had limited options - waffles, fruit juices, oats, cereal

I was refused my room just because I'm native American the management thought I was local didn't even give me a chance to show i live in pigeon forge tennessee. I consider that discrimination and racism i didn't even get a refund for the reservation i won't go back there I'd like to go UFC on the man he was a real smart mouth nothing good about the place.

We mistakenly booked a smoking room (thats on me, I had no idea they still existed). We stayed at many smoking room hotels growing up in the 70s and 80s, but the overwhelming ash tray smell of this room was brutal . We noticed several cigarette burn holes through the comforter and stains on the bed skirt. We explained the smell to the front desk staff, but they informed us that they had no vacancy and that there was nothing they could do for us except for giving us a special anti-smoke deodorant. It was no match. With the comforter in that disgusting condition, we didn't even put our belongings on it, forget about laying it. Within 10 minutes of arriving, we booked a room at another hotel. Losing $146 (cost of the room) by leaving this hotel was the best waste of $146 ever.

Positive: Close to the casino we could walk there. There was an earthquake while we were eating breakfast there. Our trip was still exciting. Negative: We accidentally booked upstairs and smoking room. We don?t smoke and we are handicap somewhat but we made it.
