Days Inn by Wyndham Austintown

WORST HOTEL EVER!!!! The first guy who checked us in was amazing and very friendly but as soon as we got to the room that’s when the problems started. My fiance got in the shower and there was no water pressure and no HOT water at all. It was lukewarm at best and would go in and out and be freezing. There was also black mold all in the grout which could be easily cleaned with bleach and bathroom cleaner. Then we sat down on the bed to eat our dinner and as soon as he sat down he literally fell off the bed. His side of the bed was broken and completely slouched down as soon as you sit. I’m lucky we hadn’t put our 7 month old on the bed or else she would have fallen. I went to the front desk and it was two different men from the one who checked us in. Front desk staff welcomed me with a smile and checked me in quickly. They were friendly and helped me with all my questions. My room was very clean and comfortable every day. The hotel was quiet, and I felt relaxed during my stay.

Positive: "" Negative: One wash cloth handing on coat rack. No pillow cases. No blanket on bed. sheets wrinkled. Breakfast had two choices of cereal and a bag of bagels. Juice machine was out of order. No other food. Lobby was freezing.

The room had a slight old/mold odor. the entrance door to the room had a gap at the bottom of the floor about 1 to 1 1/2 inched opening to the outside where insects or rodents could easily enter. We stuck a towel on the floor to cover up the opening. There were sour flies in the room. The smoke detector was missing. The sink did not hold water, the stopper lever was broken. Some of the linen on the pillows looked dingy. The floor was dirty, I had to take dish soap with water and paper towels to clean it up some. The continental breakfast was almost non existant. Some of the machines had signs what stated they were out of order. We went elsewhere for breakfast. The ice maching was not working. Great experience at Days Inn Austintown. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and made check-in quick and easy. Excellent value for the price and conveniently located near restaurants and the highway.
