Days Inn at Eglin AFB by Wyndham

We needed to stay here super last minute due to the AC in our families beach house going out while visiting and honestly, great place!! A lot of the reviews were neutral but it’s exactly what you pay for. Nice room, nice shower, bed was super comfy and the AC felt amazing! The pool was nice and the location is super convenient.

for the price, the rooms are very nice. i see other reviews are not liking the place. my room was clean and had everything i needed. if you want a nicer place, you can go and spend the extra money. i booked with days inn, not eglin extended stay. the staff was super friendly and was patient with me throughout my stay as i was there for over a week. the breakfast wasn’t anything special. they had coffee, juice, cereal, eggs, sausage, and waffles. the wifi was crazy fast too. only complaint is that they kick you off after x hours. they cleaned my room every other day or three days which was sufficient for me.

I was greeted warmly and the gentleman at the desk tried his best. The room was very clean. However, the door could not be locked and the furniture was bolted down so I couldn't block the door with it. There was crowd of men outside when I arrived hanging around which made me worry. In the time it took to look at the roo. They had broken into my van. I left. It was not safe due to environmental factors. People living there are a concern for travelers, especially women.

Positive: Location. The room was quite clean. The refrigerator actually worked so well that it froze a couple of items. Loved the grounds chicken. I?ve never seen a hotel with a live chicken and I would say it?s a great exterminator. Negative: The bed was rock hard. The moisture level was a good 75%. Swimsuits and towels were still wet after two days.

We stayed at this hotel in Florida over the Fourth of July weekend, and it was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. We booked four rooms for our family and stayed two nights – which was two nights too many. First, the AC went out the first night—in Florida, in JULY. It was miserable. We started complaining to the front desk at 7 AM (we couldn’t call because the phone wasn’t working), and it wasn’t “fixed” until 6 PM that evening… only for it to go out again 15–20 minutes later. It took five complaints just to get them to even attempt fixing it, and when we requested a different room that morning, we were told the hotel was fully booked. Only late that night did they offer us another room, and even then, they told us the delay was because others had paid for early check-in.
