Dam Site Boat Ramp, Carter's Lake.

Ramps are in great condition and at the back of a long deep cove so they are fairly protected from wind and waves. The dock is in good shape. Parking is ample

This is the deepest lake in Georgia and clearest/cleanest lake I've ever swam in There is no fee to launch your boat due to Covid-19 The dam is absolutely breathtaking

Beautiful Lake but hard to fish . The recent and severe drought has left the water level very low. The lake is the deepest in all of the state of Georgia which automatically makes it tough to fish if your not used to deep water. Boat traffic is light in the Fall . The lake itself is very beautiful ,fairly good size with alot of arms and branches to just explore amd enjoy the scenery

Great divided 3 lane boat ramp. The dock is a little small, but there is plenty of room to wait to get your boat in or out. Pretty busy after noon on the weekends.

Carter's Lake is a great place to enjoy boating and fishing. I usually go to the lake for kayaking. There are plenty of places to explore along the shoreline. Every now and then I need to dodge a motor boat or jet ski but people are usually very careful.
