411 River Rest Campground

This is above and beyond the nicest campground we’ve ever been to. The owners are generous with their kindness and time. They deliver pizza or ice to your site (Turkey pepperoni thin crust is amazing!), and each site is level and very well maintained. For those with little ones, there is a great splash pad and playground. The bath houses are designed with parents in mind and are spacious and spotless. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We stay here for at least a week every year with a group. P. S. Ice cream in the office is THE BEST!

These folks are the real deal! We’ve had issues with our camper and ended up on the side of the road repairing it. Needless to say we needed a place to camp for the night because we didn’t make it to our original destination. Amy and Stephanie went above and beyond hooking us up. They even stayed late in the office (7pm way past closing time) to greet us and help out. They were very sympathetic and friendly. After one night there we decided to stay another just to make sure our rig was roadworthy. No problem for this staff. They were more than happy to have us. Our family had a wonderful visit to this campground. The area is peaceful and somewhat wooded, which gave it a cozy, tucked-away feel. It was much nicer than the typical flat, open commercial lots. While peaceful, it was also full of life with kids playing and families mingling in the common areas. People were friendly, and it was easy to strike up a conversation or share a laugh with someone new. There’s a great playground for the kids and a catch-and-release fishing area that kept everyone entertained. We booked a site at $59 a night with full hookups, including sewer. Our church and 20+ children camped for over a week at 411 River Rest Campground and we all agreed it’s been our favorite camp to celebrate together. The hosts went above and beyond for our group. The children loved the store and playground. I loved the atmosphere, excellent bathrooms, pizza delivery, dog- friendly park, and pavilion. We have already said we will definitely be back! 411 River Rest is hands-down the best campground that I have ever visited! Some of the perks of this lovely campground include: - extremely clean bathrooms that are clearly taken care of regularly - awesome activities for kids and adults alike, including an arcade room, gem mining, ping pong, and a stocked fishing pond - a general store with great souvenirs, camper necessities - wings and pizza (and ice and more) delivered to your campsite - an easy and beautiful drive to several different towns (definitely visit Ellijay while you're here) By far the best parts of this campground, though, are Mr. Jackie and Ms. Amie.
