Dakota Sunset Resort

I recently stayed at Dakota Sunset Resort in Devils Lake, ND, and it was fantastic. The resort features several spacious, spotless houses that are easy to access and equipped with all the modern amenities you could ask for — fast internet, comfy beds, and plenty of room to relax. Sean Timmens, the owner, is an outstanding host. He goes above and beyond to make sure guests have everything they need. He’s more than willing to share local tips on the best spots for hunting, fishing, and in-town events, and he even has connections to local guides — or can guide himself! The location is ideal — just a short drive from town, yet peaceful and safe. It’s the perfect setup for families or small groups who want to stay together under one roof instead of being split up in separate hotel rooms. I h

The package deal of lodging and guided fishing was well worth it. The cabin was equipped to suit all our needs. And was very clean. The resort hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Fresh walleye for breakfast was awesome. The location is conveniently close to boat launches and just a short distance from town. Definitely recommend the package deal. Our guide, Nick was top notch. We caught fish all 3 days. And even learned some lake history. His boat is well equipped. He's a funny fella and a straight shooter who tells it as it is, excellent quality. Non stop laughs and catching for 3 days. Looking forward to getting into the perch bite next visit, ice fishing. Absolutely worth the drive from Fife Lake Michigan!!!

Awesome setup for a group of hunters, everything you need in a place to stay. Lots of hunting and fishing opportunities nearby. Very clean, modern amenities and super comfortable beds. Super fast wifi too! Highly recommend staying here!

Just returned from 3 nights. Everything at the property was top notch. Nicest hunting/fishing cabin I've ever enjoyed, and nicer than a lot of family vacation properties. Kitchen was really well equipped, beds were very comfortable, AC worked great, smart TV worked perfectly, solid wifi, spotless bathrooms. . . . etc etc. Floor plan was really well thought out, we just had 3 people but double that would have still been very comfortable. Firepit with a grate was a bonus, we did steaks, corn on the cob and asparagus one night over the fire (fishing wasn't so good that day). Owners Sean and Linda coordinated a great guide for us, then checked in to make sure everything was OK, even stopped in for a quick visit to see if we needed anything. Great property, great experience.

Had a wonderful stay. Our cabin was extremely nice, clean and laid out perfect for big or small groups. We rented the Fish house for a couple days and got some great walleye action. Can’t wait to book our next trip to Dakota Sunset Resort.
