Cumberland River Campground

This is such a gem of a campground. It's not fancy; it doesn't have a bathhouse, cable, or pool. Actually our cell reception was so bad we couldn't get on the internet or get anything on TV off our antenna. But the views, and absolute peace and quiet were so refreshing. It is a very well-kept park, and does have full hookups. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a beautiful, serene place to spend a few days. The owners were so nice, and even came to check on us at night to see if we needed firewood or anything else. Definitely don't get that kind of service in a KOA!

Amazing property owner. Helped us out when it was raining and camping was hard to find. Made room for us with electricity and all. Very nice place to visit and park/camp. Would visit again.

We had a awesime tume camping here. Don was always very quick with a reply when i had questions before our arrival, brought us firewood and keeps the property very clean and well kept. We had a site right on the river with a great view. We wnt in November and pretty much had the place to ourselves!!

Don Hamlin is top notch and his camp sites are the best. This man is same as family to me and my family. We love Don he is awesome to have around the campfire to tell tales with us. We had so much fun and laughter. He took us on a tour of the country side.He is host extraordinaire. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Two other travelers and I did about 200 miles on the KAT. After every camping option fell through we came across this place at 6 or 7pm. I believe they were originally closed but opened up for us to have a place to sleep. Having the whole campground to ourselves made it even better. Not only were the hosts amazing. The coyotes howling in the distance made it feel like we were wild camping and not in a established campground.
