Crystal Creek Campground

EDIT: OTHERS HAVE SAID AFTER MY REVIEW ITS NOW OPEN: MOSQUITOS ARE STILL GOING TO EAT YOU ALIVE STOP. DONT DRIVE HERE I don't typically leave one star reviews. This is to alert the people that are planning on driving out here. Be aware it is closed before you drive 6 miles down a washboard pothole ridden road to find a campsite, closed and destroyed by a storm. There are a few really nice spots a quarter mile down the road but you will need a high clearance four-wheel-drive to access. Also be aware due to ponds nearby the mosquitoes are EXTREMELY thick.

Beautiful, clean sites close to a lot of beautiful nature! Slow going gravel road up but worth the trip.

Writing this review primarily to clear the air. This campground IS open. Not a bad campground either. The drive is beautiful and only takes about 30 minutes from the east end of GTNP. My only complaint is that the mosquitoes are crazy down here and you should definitely come with bug spray.

If you are looking for that spot where no one else is. This is the place to stay for a few days. I stayed in spot #2 50ft from the stream. Had a few people fishing in the stream but they didn't stay long. It is a long drive into Jackson about an hour or so. The road could be better. But the views are worth the drive. The well works but it takes a very long time to get primed and to pump water. Some very nice day trip trails. A good way to start before going to the Tetons.

Beautiful area. But extremely packed! So so so busy! It took us hours to find a campsite, also the roads were pretty rough getting out there, tons of bad potholes. Ranger is pretty serious about kicking people out that aren't at an actual campsite.
