Cross Creek Resort

Every Wednesday night me and my friends got treated like a burden for playing 18 holes. We would start at 4 and usually be done by 8 when the sun was still up. But unfortunately the guy in the pro shop doesn't like to stay very late. Don't have twilight golf if you can't golf until sunset. Stopped in Wednesday Oct 22nd at 3:30pm with four guys to golf. It's barely sprinkling outside and we get told they're shutting the course down for the day because of weather. Love the course but the service has been poor at best the last few years. Never anything to snack on in the pro shop either. Do better next year.

First the good. The staff. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The golf course was beautiful. The south 9-hole was a challenging narrow course and we lost many balls. The 2 north courses were much more open but had many sand bunkers. The entire course was VERY well maintained. There was people all over doing routine maintenance. If I was only reviewing the staff and the golf, I would have given this place 5 stars. Shame on this resort for the lodging. I knew from the price that this was not going to be a 5-star hotel. I just didnt expect it to be a less than 1 star. The food at the place was good. We had a breakfast and dinner. There wasnt a lot of people staying so we didnt have the buffet. I was there for a class reunion. The event room for the reunion was very nice and staff was attentive. The hotel rooms were horrible, cobwebs, unclean and very worn. Also, bricks and rocks to hold doors open, that should be unlocked, seem like an unsafe situation. The exterior lighting needs a lot of work for obvious safety reasons. I will absolutely not ever stay at this place again.

We were there for a class reunion. Everything was great. Classmates that stayed there said the rooms were so outdated. I know 1 couple that checked out and went elsewhere to sleep.

2 stars because the golf and food were amazing! The room - I don't even know where to start. We had a window AC unit, a dropped ceiling, mold in the bathroom, dorm room style second hand store furniture, and could feel the springs in the mattress. No frig in the room and the ice maker was broken. It was food thing it was a guy's golf trip with little time in the room.
