Covewood Lodge

We have been going to Covewood for years and has become a family tradition. The rustic charm, the beauty of Big Moose Lake, the loons singing at night and early morning make it a very special place. Great hiking, swimming, near by mountains to climb just add to the draw of Covewood!

Spectacular weekend at the quietly fabulous complex in a beautiful setting. My husband has reminisced about childhood trips to Covewood for 30 years, and this past weekend I finally understand why. We were lucky enough to have the master suite in the Henry Covey lodge, a beautiful 3bedroom lodge close to the main lodge . The lodge was perfectly furnished for our needs, very nice kitchen, comfortable living room, large dining area with beautiful lake view. Master was a large room with wonderful view and very nice new bathroom. There are two upstairs bedrooms and a full bath. The screened in porch overlooking lake was a bonus.|We also enjoyed meeting other guests up at main lodge, the front porch is lovely and relaxing there in a cozy chair is an activity in itself.|The beach front was grea

Covewood is the best! Kind people, abundant amenities, and the most beautiful setting. A great place to spend time with friends and family -- can't wait to come again!

We had our wedding at Covewood this year, and it was perfect. The staff was so attentive and helped significantly with planning. There was enough room for all of our guests to stay on site. We hardly needed any decorations because it is beautiful inside and out. Highly recommend Covewood as a place for respite or a woodsy wedding!

Covewood Lodge is situated on Big Moose Lake and is about 20 min drive from Old Forge town. The cabins are clean, neat and are catered with all necessary utensils for a comfortable stay. They also offer boats for rent, ski trips, ski lessons and different children activities during the day. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be back
