Covered Wagon Resort

This is a beautiful place not far off the highway. The sound of vehicles doesn't reach the site. The tent sites are level and well taken care of, as were the baths and showers. The staff were friendly and phenomenal. I got in after midnight and promptly got us a spot and took payment. It was a good price for a tent site with the amenities offered. There is also a small playground with swings for the children.

First of all, the pictures on the internet are very deceptive. The entire campground is rundown and poorly maintained. The grass was not mowed/trimmed properly. The site was not level and had to use large rocks to help out and we were still not level!! The utility box was not faced correctly for the site. The bathrooms were clean, just very outdated. It was very quiet. They were definitely not fully booked for the motorcycle rally as previously stated. I feel like we paid way too much for a hyped up, old campground with misleading internet pictures!! Also, mark your driveway, light the sign or the wagon out front to find it easier at night. Definitely no upkeep or money being put back into the place!! My advice would be to do your homework, read reviews and pass this place up!

I am staying here through the winter in one of their cottages, and it has been amazing to say the least. Beds are comfortable, nicely decorated, clean room, fireplace w/ electric insert makes it really nice. Very affordable as well. Customer service is over the top good

My family and I came as complete strangers, and we left feeling like a part of their family! All of the staff were super friendly and it was a very comfortable, convenient stay. Great location near many of the spots we wanted to see. Very reasonable pricing. They even hosted a BBQ for everyone who was staying there!

Maybe you'll get lucky & just stay in a tent, if you book a 'cabin' be very aware you may be pushed into a garbage dump. Sent check 4.30.21 for 1/2 of $567 rental, yeah I know, I should have known better. A friend recommended & will be fair to say her rental was acceptable. We were pushed into a long term live-in rental that was NOT ready for rent, & they knew all along they'd push us 'somewhere'. Last person had taken everything, except the horrendous smell, flies, garbage a few feet away, & a carpet that was disgusting, & I do not to ever know what had been in that rental before. Again to be fair the owners 'tried' to smooth this over, brought fly strips & roach motels...yay? We spent far too much vacation time w/ maintenance issues, dog poop outside, bugs & a TV, who cares! Wasn't there
