Great locally owned and operated hardware store in Cookson! Loved the owner because he was helpful and gave me ideas on how to approach my issue. He offered advice that I hadn't thought of and recommended some different tools that helped get me fixed up without spending near what I thought I was going to need to spend. Great selection and great prices so save yourself a trip to town and give Covel Hardware a visit the next time you have a project or repair job so you can support the Cookson community while you're improving your property.

As a hardware store I am sure they excel. They should not do the UPS store. More than once I've went in trying to avoid going to Tahlequah. Today he tried to charge me 37 dollars for sending a very small ,light item. He guessed at the weight and size . It is painfully obvious they need to learn the system better. The Tahlequah UPS store charged me $6.84 to send the same item .

Why don't I ever learn? Looked everywhere in Tahlequah for brass ceiling fan chain with no luck. Walk in here and they've got exactly I'm looking for and at a better price than anywhere else, including online. My advice to everyone living near Cookson, check with Covel's first and save yourself a trip to Tahlequah or Sallisaw, you'll probably save some money, too.

I stopped in here recently because I was short a few lag bolts and really did not want to have to drive all the way town. They had exactly what I needed and I was in out of there in just a few minutes and back to my project at the lake house. I am so glad that they are there. Very helpful and courteous people running the place. Thanks again for your help!
