Courtyard by Marriott Gatlinburg Downtown

We have stayed here before always seem really nice. I have only one minor complaint. Why would you not have a Coffee station where you can get a cup of coffee early in the morning? Almost every hotel of this caliber does. They don’t open until 6:30am to start serving coffee. A little disappointing. I like many get up early to get ready and get out of the way so the rest of the family can get ready. I always enjoy some quiet time and have a cup of coffee before my day begins. Not here you don’t. Oh well. Other than that this place is great. Big rooms, balcony, location is great and the lobby is really nice.

This has been by far THE worst experience ever!! I booked an entire year in advance to have our annual birthday trip, my BFF and I take. This is the first year, since my firstborn committed suicide, that I have even had the financial ability to begin to plan this trip. I get here to a packed hotel full of teenagers and children. They had given our king room with a fireplace, balcony and sofa bed away. It took an act of Congress to even get a room close to comparable. The front desk attendant was intent on putting words in my best friend’s mouth. She swore the manager wasn’t here. Eventually a lady with food/beverages who was a manager got involved. She still barely got us close to what we had booked. We are now snowed in with a packed place full of kids who are loud, obnoxious and even wer

I stayed with my husband and two kids, along with my mother. We had separate rooms. They let us have an early check in which was nice. So we didn't have to wait around in Gatlinburg where it was pouring down rain. It's so close to all the shops and fun things to do with the kids. We walked everywhere. Be aware you pay $15 per day for parking... at the hotel you already paid to stay in. I've never seen that at any other hotels but okay. Also you want to get the breakfast Included with the rooms bc it will be quite pricey if you don't. I will say the French toast with strawberries was amazing. The pool and hot tub(nice and big) was clean and always empty so the kids had fun. Last thing is the washing machine ate my money and when I told the front desk she said she called maintenence an

Positive: Spacious and comfortable Negative: The AC unit rattled all night it was hard to sleep with the constant noise. When dropping keys off, no one was at the counter to notify them

Don't expect a working refrigerator this hotel! The fridges are on a two hour timer the front desk confirmed however, my fridge wasn't even working at all and was actually warm. I booked a room with a king bed and a sofa-bed and somehow got downgraded to just a king bed that was extremely low to the floor and had a flimsy thin mattress (no box spring) and NO AC. If I would have known this ahead of time I would have booked elsewhere. I asked for an upgrade or to change my room at the front desk (and offered to pay extra of course) and was met with a rude customer service associate. She made me feel unwelcome and her first resolution to this issue was immediately offering to cancel my room reservation. She stated that there are no other rooms available. We did not have any hair conditioner i
