Courtyard by Marriott Fort Meade BWI Business District

Stayed here for two nights (Saturday, Jan 24 to Monday, Jan 26) during the big snowstorm this month. My job (at Fort Meade) booked the room for me, so I didn’t have to worry about finding a place in the storm. The hotel was perfect for that—close to the base (about 5–10 min drive normally, though roads were icy), clean rooms, warm heat, and the staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful when I checked in. The room was standard Courtyard style: comfortable bed, good Wi-Fi, microwave/fridge in the room, and quiet (no loud neighbors). Breakfast area was open, but I didn’t use it much. Location is great if you work at Fort Meade or need to be in the BWI area—everything felt safe and easy even with snow everywhere. Would definitely stay again if my job books it. Another excellent two-night work stay. My 4th Floor room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. All was quiet (except for noisy bathroom fan when lights were on in bathroom, but perfectly quiet while I rested). Great service from Front Desk; friendly staff and recognized by Bonvoy Gold status. All security features in the room were great; the door handle could use maintenance (required strong effort to turn fully open). Another great stay!

A fantastic stay at this Courtyard! From checking in to checking out the front desk staff was readily available and eager to help. And they all had a great sense of humor too! The hotel was exceptionally clean. The restaurant staff was also very friendly and make a mean cafe mocha! I will definitely stay here again. PS it would have been nice to have the fire pit lit since temps dropped into the 40’s at night.

The rooms are great. The receptionists at the desk are not very helpful. I have stayed here several times. I always check out around 4am. Every single time I have to wait at the desk for 10 minutes. Call out for assistance no one comes. Every single time i have to wake up the receptionists sleeping in the back room when i go to check out at 4am. Atleast put a bell at the desk or something. Room prices are ok.

FIND ANOTHER HOTEL - This hotel experience is probably one of the worst I’ve ever had, and I travel often. The Wi-Fi was completely down during during our whole trip. Nothing worked and Our hotspot barely worked because of the poor service. Our room was stuffy and the room temperature was unable to be controlled so it was insanely hot all night. I had to go to the front desk to ask for a fan which took about 30 minutes around 12 AM. Nothing worked there and it was just very miserable and uncomfortable. The fact that I paid for this is crazy to me. I would rather sleep in my car then stay at this hotel again.
