Courtyard by Marriott Faro Blanco Resort

Booked a 3-night stay well in advance and paid for a room with a view. I was given a room with a view of dumpsters and the highway. When I returned to the desk after discovering this, I was told it was a glitch on the booking company's end and not theirs (not sure if this is actually true - will review that company if I somehow can figure out if it's true or not). They said they were booked and couldn't help us. They'd look for an upgrade the second day, if we ask at 9 a.m.. We'll see. May raise review if they make good on it. Update: We returned to our room after a brief walk of the facility and found a hand-written note and some goodies apologizing for the room type confusion, and reiterating that they'd try to make good on it tomorrow. That was unexpected and very kind. Final

We really enjoyed our time here with our children. The infinity pool is great and they light up fire pits by the beach, which is beautiful to look at during sunsets. The sunsets here are amazing and the hotel has a big area full of hammocks by the water to relax and watch the sunset. The live music by the pool in the afternoons made all the difference! People wouldn’t leave, as it was so much fun and we could order drinks and food right there. The breakfasts at the bistro were great and you have a Starbucks inside the lobby, which we appreciated. The entire hotel is beautifully decorated and felt super clean and well maintained. We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite and it was very comfortable. The staff is helpful and professional. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay! The room was large and spotlessly clean, overlooking the pool, and with a nice view of the Atlantic. Even though there was a wedding going on until late, the noise was contained and the outdoor bar was still accessible. The white sand beach with the hammocks was a treat too! But, the one thing that made our stay extra special was JOYCE at the front desk. She was very helpful and accommodating and did it all with a kind sense of humor and smile. She's a treasure.

Average Marriott experience. Check in was easy, breakfast is a 50 dollar a day credit at their Starbucks grill. Pools and hot tub were clean as well as all of the amenities. Marathon is a very tattered and worn down key to visit so finding good accommodations can be difficult. The outside bar had great service and drinks. TV in my room didn’t work however they were very willing to credit my stay or move me to another room. I took the credit. Overall a good stay.

Lynn at the front desk truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. From the moment we arrived, she was warm, attentive, and incredibly proactive in anticipating our needs. She took the time to ensure every detail was taken care of and made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued as guests. Exceptional service like Lynn’s makes all the difference and is the reason we would happily return to this Marriott. She is an absolute asset to the hotel—thank you SO much Lynn, for making our stay so wonderful!
