Cottages at Harvey Lake

I visited the yellow cottage for which is perfect for a couple or solo traveler/pet. Nancy & Lee have a charming lake front property stocked with kayaks, life vests, beach chairs and a dock. Each cottage has a fire pit with a grill w/ propane tank, as well as a screened in porch which is great for hanging in on summer nights. The cottages have a kitchenette stocked with dishes, pots pans, cleaning supplies as well as toiletries a long side an a/c, microwave and mini fridge. WiFi & streaming services were available for use which was nice to have and worked well. The property is off of a main road which could be challenging navigating in & out and there is only one way in/out of cottages could be a tight squeeze but manageable and very little noise from traffic. The property is pet friendly,

A cozy little nook away from the routine of normalcy. Beautiful serene lake view which is a therapeutic oasis especially if you like to kayak. The view from the property is pretty and once you get across the lake, you feel like you are in another world. The property is right off of a busy highway, however once you settle in those sounds become almost obsolete. You daily hear the calming chirping of birds, ducks come to say hi and you might even see a turtle or a herring. We met Nancy the owner who is very personable, friendly and accommodating. My husband and I stayed for 3 1/2 days and felt refreshed. We will definitely come visit again!

Surprise weekend for me. Pros: Cute cottage, rustic but functional. The lake was small with not a lot of traffic so kayaking was perfect, and the fishing was good. The small beach was nice. We met some fun people and shared a few drinks. Cons: Rt 4 is rather noisy, the cottages are very close to the busy road. A dog barked a few houses down ALOT. Someone said it was one of the owners house, IDK but it was pretty annoying and disruptive when you are trying to relax and enjoy yourself. I would hate to live near them full time.

The cottages are adorable. It had a screened-in porch, and having a little beach steps from the door is a delight! The amenities were functional. The hostess was responsive and very accommodating to my allergies. Be warned there is not much room to either side of the toilet in the blue cottage.

Couldn't be happier with the location husband picked. Great view, very friendly staff, clean rooms. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. We even received a coffee mug. We will go back again.
