This was a tough technical hike, especially if you’re carrying a baby the whole time. What I liked best about it was the amount of shade there was - didn’t even need sunscreen. It was nice to see the waterfall at the end, though because of the season it wasn’t very strong and there wasn’t much water pooling. Would recommend this hike to anything who wants a challenging hike with a good prize at the end.
The water was swift from all the recent flooding! But the gorge is always worth it! Having a place like this to put in w a nice ramp and all is such a blessing!
One of my favorite places to hike, usually not too busy. There’s places to swim around here and some cool caves, springs, and other natural structures if you feel like exploring
Nice paved lot a few feet from the Copperas Falls trail and several others nearby.
Recently found this launch, just waiting for the Red River to rise again! Nice circular drive and drop. Limited parking at road!
