Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA Holiday

We stayed in yurt 2 -3 nights Pros 1.pool/ hot tub/ small pool for babies 2. Bounce 3. Golf 4. Lots of activities/events for kids 5. Yurts are big and lots of outside room 6. The yurt mattress were fine 7. The yurt have heaters and a small fan. (There is a Big Fan at the top of the yurt) 6. The yurts are right next to the kid park 7. Very clean and well maintained outside areas 8. Felt safe walking around and having kids go to the playgrounds 9. Staff was friendly 10. Dog off leash park 11. Dog bag locations always fully stocked 12. Secluded and lots of shade in tent/motor home sites. I suggest 60s for tent sites. Cons 1. First night we got there the bathrooms had no soap and some stalls had no toilet paper. After that it was fully stocked the rest of the time. 2. Kids blanket got a rat t

The staff is over involved. We got a email for "speeding", the campground had a 10mph speed limit (not a problem) but if your not constantly pressing your breaks they will fine you $50. Even if your going under 10mph. Ridiculous. Never coming back here.

Great campground. They have a pool and hot tub open seasonally. Jumping pillow and playground for the kids. Lots of open grass space for fun activities and games. Fenced dog park area. Store with snacks, basic needs, ice, and firewood. Planned activities on the weekends. Grandy Creek borders the campground on the west side, making for a nice spot to cool off your feet or let the dogs play in the water. Staff is friendly and helpful. Birdsview Diner is across the highway with amazing milkshakes and food.

Not the worst place we've ever stayed but feel that $60 is overpriced for the SUPER tight small spaces, gravel drive and our site only having water & electric. Greeted by a friendly young man when we arrived, laundry room was clean and adequate and we had no issues using the dump on our way out. Nice area for walking the dog and there's a dog run, basketball court and pool. It's quiet and peaceful but not somewhere we would choose to stay again because the spaces were so close together and roadways were narrow in our section.

Some may really love this place and there isn’t anything blatantly wrong here, but this type of camping is not for me. I generally prefer campgrounds with a little more space and less crowded so take this review for what it’s worth. My first time at any KOA and honestly I was a little disappointed by how greedy this company is. It seems there was an up charge for everything for example, there is an extra charge for WiFi and they wanted $15 extra to secure a specific site. I generally knew what KOAs are about before booking the site but this was the only campground available in the area on the specific dates I was looking for so I didn’t really have another choice. Way over priced in my opinion. Paid about $55 (with tax and fees) for our little patch of grass with water and electric only.
