Comfort Suites Tyler South

Kim checked us in at 3am while we were dealing with 3 sick kids. She was WONDERFUL. We stayed in the 2 queen room with the pull out sofa. The room was clean, well stocked and comfortable. The beds are super soft with thick bedding. There was tea and coffee in the room too. I can't review the breakfast because we slept in because we were given a noon checkout. The staff in the morning at checkout was very nice as well and gave me a goodie bag for the kiddos. We travel alot so we will absolutely stay again when in the area and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel. Thank you Kim for treating us with kindness and compassion.

Positive: We enjoyed the large room, the fairly comfortable bed, the mostly friendly staff, and the included Continental style breakfast. Negative: The mold in the bathroom, the somewhat musty smell in the room, one staff member was a bit offish when asked about a couple of issues, an advertised (Google maps), non-existent pool/hot tub, "filtered" water in juice machine tastes mildewed.

Stayed here for work purposes. My first impression was the guy at front desk when i asked for a roll of TP and he argued "there's one in your room". I didn't nor should I have to explain why I need more toilet paper but I insisted for another roll. Grateful they include breakfast with the stay but the person who runs the breakfast is anything but attentive. I'd come down at 8am (breakfast ends at 9am not 930 like I was told), and all hot food was empty. No milk, no yogurt. Did not feel a sense of welcome here. Not expecting a red carpet but at this rate just basic customer service would suffice. My vehicles windshield got hit overnight somehow which caused my windshield to have a huge crack in it now. The room was dirty! Bed had been changed but there were almonds laying in the floor and other items therefore clearly had not been vacuumed. There was a big greasy handprint on the table where the table lamp sits and the tub had a dirty soap ring around it with numerous hairs stuck to the sides of the tub. We’ve stayed here multiple times and never had an experience like this. I’m a choice hotels member and have been for years. Very unsatisfied…

Rude guy at desk in the afternoon. We checked in, and went back down and asked for toilet paper. He said " Ain't there a roll in the room?" "Well, ask housekeeping tomorrow". Everyday breakfast was gone before 8:30. It's says available until 9am. Rude breakfast women, horrible coffee. Bitter cold after the snow storm this past weekend. Parking lot not plowed or salted, a dangerous complete sheet of ice. Staff not really concerned. Definitely do not recommend. Seems to be a theme at Tyler trash hotels and staff. We've stayed at four name brand hotels over the years. All garbage. It's worth the drive to Lindale to get a hotel. Tyler is just trash
