Comfort Suites San Clemente Beach

Overall, this property exceeded my expectations. I had mixed feelings after reading some of the reviews, but once I saw the property for myself, I had no concerns. On the contrary, I found the property to be in great shape and very well-maintained. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was plentiful. I was really impressed with my stay.

I rarely write negative reviews but in this case, it’s warranted. The manager shouted across a busy lobby at me and wagged his finger at me because I was taking food up to my room. During our 3-day stay, or room was never cleaned, and although we asked for new towels on three separate occasions, they were never delivered. Our room, 322, did not have hot water most of our stay. Lastly, the hold on our card still hasn’t dropped off and now shows as an ATM withdrawal.|Avoid this location.

Room was extremely dirty! We came for a family vacation, as we’re stepping out the elevator the windows in the hallways are extremely dirty and dusty but as we step in the room the desk has stains that I can scrap off with my nail, the curtains have stains from someone touching them with dirty hands and they are not wiped off and the mirror has stains all over the frame. As we step in the balcony there are chips all on the floor, and we have young children. We are extremely disappointed, the room is very spacious and location is good for us but as we brought our issues to front desk the receptionist is arguing with my husband and refuses to go check out the room claiming we have been in there for 30 min. when he has seen us come down to get our belongings. The manager was able to accommodate me by getting me into a new room for the remainder of my stay due to the door being difficult to open. (The sink also wouldn’t drain and the closet was broken) I got moved into my second room and the cleaning staff only came once, and when I asked her to come back, she never did. So my trash never got taken and I couldn’t shower in the new room because the water wouldn’t get cold. So there are quite a few changes and upgrades that need to happen, in my opinion. I wouldn’t stay here in the future

Room smelled musty So did carpets in the hall. Very outdated. Did not like the setup at all with the sink right in the room. Everything was "old" looking. No rubber mat or protection for slipping for fitting in the tub. Just an old worn-out hotel. breakfast was fine. That was the only redeeming quality. Pictures of hotel lookedbetter but the real thing was not
